Making manuals that work

Denaploy and Kier Unite for RCA Flagship Building

After working on a large number of projects together Kier and Denaploy unite again for the RCA

Another massive project we provided an O&M manual recently was for the U.K infrastructure giants The Kier Group. This was for the incredible new state of the art stuido and research building located in the South Campus as part of the RCA’s development plan to transform into a dynamic STEAM-focused (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) postgraduate university.

The build consisted of a 15,500 metres squared four-storey studio building and an eight-storey Research building. It contains workshops, manufacturing facilities and a double-height covered street hangar space for large-scale objects to be assembled and exhibited, as well as an expanded business incubator hub for small business start-ups related to the RCA.

Another key feature of the mammoth build was the fact that they used a low carbon aluminium façade which saves 135 tonnes of CO2 emissions.

So you can imagine the O&M manual we had to write for this build. It was no small task that's for sure but with all the knowledge within our team at Denaploy we really showed just why we are experts in the field of H&S/O&M manuals. This was a mammoth undertaking but one we didn't shy away from, it just proves the size and scale of the projects we can handle and we look forward to working with Kier again on their ever growing portfolio going forward.
